Felt + Rubber Combo Most Popular

The gold standard: dense needle-punched felt on top for cushioning and protection, bonded to 100% natural rubber underneath for grip. Ideal for hand-knotted and area rugs on hardwood, tile, and stone. Available in 1/4" and 3/8".

Pure Natural Rubber

Thin, supergrip, and completely floor-safe. The right choice for hallway runners, kitchen mats, and rugs under doors where clearance is tight. About 1/8" thick — maximum hold with minimal height.

Dense Felt (100%)

Maximum cushioning and sound insulation for large rugs anchored by furniture, and for wall-to-wall layered looks. The apartment-dweller's secret weapon against noise complaints. 1/4" to 1/2" thick.

Eco / Radiant-Heat Safe

Recycled-content felt with plant-based rubber, engineered for radiant-heated floors and chemically sensitive homes. No PVC, no adhesives, no off-gassing — certified low-VOC materials only.

Every material we stock is chosen for one thing: performance over decades, not months. Our felt is needle-punched to a density that won't flatten, and our rubber is tapped from real trees — not molded from PVC that crumbles and sticks to floor finishes.

Custom pad FAQ

Measure the rug's length and width at its widest points, excluding fringe. For irregular or antique rugs, we can work from a photo with measurements, a paper template you trace and ship to us, or a free in-home templating visit.
No — a pad should be about one inch smaller than the rug on all sides. This lets the rug's edges taper to the floor so nobody trips, and keeps the pad completely invisible. We build this inset into every custom cut automatically.
Never. We use only needle-punched felt and 100% natural rubber. The cheap PVC and plastic-mesh pads sold in big-box stores are the ones that bond to polyurethane finishes and leave permanent marks — replacing those is one of our most common jobs.
Most orders are cut within 48 hours. Local deliveries typically arrive in 2–3 business days, and nationwide shipping takes 3–7 business days depending on your location. Rush cutting is available for project deadlines.
Yes — that's our specialty. Rounds, ovals, octagons, animal-hide outlines, and antique rugs that have relaxed out of square over decades. If you can trace it, we can cut it.
As a rule: 1/8" for runners and low-clearance areas, 1/4" for most area rugs, and 3/8"–1/2" where comfort and sound insulation matter most. Check the door clearance in the room — and when in doubt, ask us.
Our Eco / Heat-Safe line is engineered specifically for radiant heat: it stays dimensionally stable, won't stick to warm finishes, and allows efficient heat transfer. Just mention radiant heat when you order.
Every pad carries our 100% fit guarantee — if it doesn't fit the way we promised, we recut or replace it free. Materials are warranted against crumbling, flattening, and floor staining for ten years.
